Forgiveness
"If you forgive any one anything, I too forgive that one; and what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven
anything, has been for your sakes in the presence [and with the approval] of Christ, the Messiah, to
keep satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions."
[2 Cor 2:10-11 Ampl]
"For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon
Thee."  [Ps 86:5 NAS]
"And you, who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh - your sensuality,
your sinful carnal nature - [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all
our transgressions, having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note [or
bond] with its legal decrees and demands, which was in force and stood against us - hostile to us.
This [note with its regulations, decrees and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our
way by nailing it to [His] cross.  [God] disarmed the principalities and powers ranged against us and
made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the
cross].  [Col 2:13-15 Ampl]
"Freely ye have received; freely give.  [Mt 10:8 KJV]
"It is more blessed to give than to receive."  [Acts 20:35 MKJV]
"If you forgive people their trespasses - that is, their reckless and wilful sins, leaving them, letting
them go and giving up resentment - your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not
forgive others their trespasses - their reckless and wilful sins, leaving them, letting them go and
giving up resentment - neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses."  [Mt 6:14-15 Ampl]
Forgiveness is a free gift.
Gifts are bought and paid for by others, and given to us with no expectation of
return.
Eagle Christian Ministries International
Christ bought our forgiveness with His blood at Calvary, so we might
experience freedom from guilt, shame, bitterness, resentment and all the
other "side effects" that come from unforgiveness.  The "actions" of the
medication called "Christ's forgiveness" are peace, joy, love, happiness,
laughter, and health in our minds and bodies.
God calls us to be like Him in every way - which includes His heart of
forgiveness, even when wronged.  If we do not forgive others, we give the
devil "advantage over us".  We also set ourselves up for reaping a harvest of
unforgiveness from others, and God, when we do not forgive.
Thank God today for sending His Son.  Thank Jesus for coming and
taking your place.  Thank Holy Spirit for filling you with the
knowledge and understanding of what Jesus did for you.  Confess your
sins before Him today, and repent and turn away, that you may receive
freedom and liberty and joy inexpressible.  Then freely give what you
have received.  Forgive someone today that needs your forgiveness.
And share with someone else how Jesus set you free and how He can
do the same for them!
